Taking regular video is so yesterday and heaven knows that taking selfies don’t always capture the magnificence of your current location. A luxury vacation deserves an upgraded video/photo experience, and that’s why the number one item on my jetset wish list is the newest member of the GoPro family, Karma.
More than just a drone, Karma features a compact, lightweight design and captures amazingly smooth footage in the air, handheld or mounted to your favorite gear. One of Karma’s best features is that it folds into its own lightweight, compact case that’s comfortable to wear during any activity, making it a hit with the carry-on clique.
If you’re a drone newbie like me, no worries. Karma is easy to use so you can fly with the confidence of a seasoned pro using the included game-like controller. You can even let your friends in on the fun using the GoPro Passenger™ App that lets your crew view your flight and control your GoPro while you fly.
The downside is that if you’re a water baby, you’ll need to be careful using Karma on those Flyboarding trips because unfortunately it’s not waterproof. *cues tear*
At $799 (GoPro camera is sold separately and necessary for use) the price is a bit steep, but much cheaper than other drones on the market like the DJI Phantom. I’m looking forward to adding Karma to my wish list for Santa this year and taking my travel world to amazing heights in the new year. Check out Karma in action below!
