When your grandmother was literally the O.G. Queen When your grandmother was literally the O.G. Queen of the Fete 🇭🇹 ❤️
Whenever Spain opens up again, please know that yo Whenever Spain opens up again, please know that you can find me right here in this sea view suite on Cala Xarraca Bay at the new Six Senses, working on my melanin glow and living my best life.
For my first Kenyan safari I had the pleasure of s For my first Kenyan safari I had the pleasure of staying in three (yes three because...me) beautiful safari lodges that are part of the @elewanacollection - Sand River in Masai Mara, Kifaru House in Lewa and Tortilis Camp in Amboseli. Each lodge had its own unique feel, decor, views and vibes. You really can’t go wrong staying in any of the properties.

But as my Florida peeps say, I ain’t even gonna hold you, because as amazing as these properties were, your girl was out of her element. See, I’m usually an @fsserengeti or @lionsandsgamereserve kind of girl - adventurer off property, luxuriating Black girl on property. You know, close enough to nature in your room to get a cute pic for the ‘Gram, but far enough away that you don’t feel like dinner. But baaabbbyyy, Elewana and Micato had your girl in nature nature.

See that first video of my room at Sand River? Looks beautiful right? You want to stay there right (and you should!)? Well let me tell you how I spent a whole night held hostage by the inhabitants of Pride Rock, asking my friends to send thoughts and prayers because baboons spent 20 minutes trying to break into my tent 😳. Then there was the elephant who decided it was more important for him or her to scratch itself on my tent at 3am, than for me to go to the bathroom 😩. And I can’t forget the buggy-less hill I had to climb at Tortilis every time I left my room, to remind myself just how out of shape I am.

I was a girl on safari without her bougie and it showed lol. But would I do it all again? IN. A. HEART. BEAT. Because it did what travel is supposed to do - push you, stretch you, challenge you and make you expand your comfort zone. Do I still want Butler service? Yes. But now I know I can safari without it. It was just the adventure I needed after such an uncertain year and I can’t wait to do it again - minus the baboons though 🙅🏾‍♀️
One thing I miss about traveling is the food. I LI One thing I miss about traveling is the food. I LIVE for a good food tour, cooking class and dining experience when I’m exploring. It’s a great way to deep dive into a destination’s culture and history, and make friends too. Out of the over 80 countries I’ve visited, I’ve had a foodie adventure in 67 and counting. I can’t wait to get back to tasting the world again. #traveltuesday
Mentally, you can find me here. Also, why isn’ Mentally, you can find me here.

Also, why isn’t Bali open yet? 😩
I promise you this is me every time I let friends I promise you this is me every time I let friends pick the hotel. Leave them to their own devices and end up in something that looks like one of Nino’s apartments in The Carter 😩.

Who else has friends that can’t be trusted to pick the vacay spot? 👀
